Job Title: Programs & Events Coordinator FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Location: Owasso Chamber of Commerce

Reports to: Chamber of Commerce CEO/President

Salary: $16.00/hour

General Purpose:

The Owasso Chamber of Commerce is the leading business organization promoting and advocating for Owasso area businesses and organizations. The Owasso Chamber of Commerce promotes collaboration and creates partnerships by connecting our businesses, government, schools, nonprofits, citizens, and visitors to vital resources and to each other. The organization is the driving force behind our Owasso Economic Development Strategic Plan fostering growth, advocacy, business retention and attraction, workforce development, and marketing.

Essential Functions:

Assist in planning and coordinating monthly Board of Directors meetings
Plan and coordinate monthly Chamber Membership Luncheons
Schedule and update the Chamber's calendar of events
Plan and coordinate meetings associated with Economic Development Programs and Events, such as monthly Workforce Owasso luncheons, monthly Advocate Owasso meetings and events, Business Thrive roundtables, and others as they are planned
Manage all event sponsorships
Input all new members into Chamber Master
Plan and coordinate new business Groundbreaking and Ribbon Cutting ceremonies
Plan and coordinate Leadership Owasso monthly class curriculum arrangements
Plan and coordinate monthly Chamber Ambassador meetings
Plan and coordinate annual Redbud Days festival
Plan and coordinate annual Chamber Awards Gala
Plan and coordinate both Spring and Fall Golf Classic tournaments
Plan and coordinate booth at seasonal Gathering on Main festival
Create appropriate materials to market all meetings, programs, and events
Update website and all social media accounts
Assist with day-to-day office operations including answering phones and serving walk-in customers

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to coordinate and schedule groups and teams of people to reach a common goal
Ability to manage tasks for several meetings, programs, and events
Ability to cultivate, nurture, and maintain valuable partnerships with Chamber members, vendors, and community members
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Products or related software.
Knowledge of finance and adhering to set budgets
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
Ability to troubleshoot problems effectively and efficiently
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Public Relations, Communications, Business or a closely related field
2-5 years of work experience in a related field preferred
